As the crazy month of April that saw wild finishes and even wilder weather comes to an end, we can look at what May has to offer in terms of tournaments and leagues. Sadly, when it comes to the weather, we cant help.
Leagues
In May, we get to see the 2022 league schedule go into overdrive with a league happening almost every day:
Sunday:
Spartan Disc's Sunday Funday League
Starting May 1st
May 1st sees the return of the Spartan Disc's Sunday Funday League at Como Park for the 2022 season and with a new format but all the same Sunday morning fun. Sunday Funday league will kick off on May 1st with player sign-ups from 9:30 am-9:50 am and tee-off at 10:00 am in a new handicap format with a female, male, and scratch divisions. Sunday Funday League has a $10.00 entry fee per week.
Monday:
Monday Night League 2022
Round 1 Starts May 2nd
CDGA 2022 Monday Night League Round 1 kicks off May 2nd at Lake Erie State Park at 5:30 pm. Monday Night League is a Doubles event that will travel through 4 area courses throughout the 28-week schedule. Monday Night League entry fee is $9.00 with a $1.00 Ace Pool
The Greens at Outwater Park Monday League

2022 Season of The Greens at Outwater Park Monday League. Random Draw doubles A-pool B-pool. 4:30 sign-ups 5:15ish tee-off $12 Sign up gets you all in.
Tuesday:
Tuesday Night League at ECP
Starting May 3rd
Tuesday Night League returns to Ellicott Creek Park for another go-around in 2022. This years league starts May 3rd with sign-ups from 5:00 pm to 5:45 pm with Tee off around 6:00 pm. Tuesday Night League will be first come, first serve with a max player size of 72

Thursday Night Sanctioned League
Starting May 5th
John Metzler and Disc Slinging Dyes are bringing back Thursday Night Sanctioned League with a new format moving from handicap to division-based. Thursday Night League will still be a flex start with check-in/tee times between 4 pm and 6 pm. The first four weeks will be held at Elliott Creek Park starting on May 5th

Friday Night League is returning to Blue Dog Disc Golf in 2022. FNL is a random draw doubles league held each week at Blue Dog Disc golf course in Derby. League starts at 5:30 pm meeting at the Pro Shop at 1105 Wisconsin Rd Derby, New York.

Aberdeen Glass Open
April 30th to May 1st
The 1st annual Aberdeen Glass Open kicks the month off with the first B-tier of 2022. This two-day event with 2 rounds Saturday and one round Sunday out at Black Diamond at Emery Park.
WNY Amateur Point Series #2
May 7th
Round Two of 2022 WNY Amateur Point Series. Round 2 is at Joseph Davis State Park 24 hole layout with tee times starting early in the morning
Bond Lake Open
May 14th
Bond Lakes first tournament of 2022 is on May 14th. The Bond Lake Open will be a single day c-tier with check-in starting at 7:45 am
Shorewinds Shootout
May 21th
Treedirection Disc Golf Open
May 28th
Treedirections inaugural Treedirections Disc Golf Open will be held at Black Diamond @Emery Park. It will be 2 rounds of single-stroke play.
Hawk's Landing Match Play Championships
May 30th
2022 Hawk's Landing Match Play Championships Presented by Tribal Flyers Match Play: 9-Hole Matches. The player who wins the most holes wins the match. Two Divisions: Open & Amateur, 16 players in each division. 3 rounds of round-robin play, followed by single-elimination bracket play for the championship. A consolation bracket will determine placement for 3rd - 16th place.
Memorial day Dubs in memory for Richard
Thank you all for the support of the Reid family for playing this event. This will be a fundraiser and cash payout event. The proceeds will help cover funeral costs for Shawn Reid's stepson who tragically passed. This will consist of 2 rounds of best-shot doubles at Outwater.
