Goodbye 2021 Hello 2022. Holiday news recap

Happy New Year, everyone. I decided to take some time off to recharge before 2022. While I was away, a lot of great news involving disc golf inside the 716.

Starting with 716 getting some national recognition as Buffalo-Cheektowaga was ranked 23 on UDisc annual list of Top Disc Golf Cities in the United States. But, unfortunately, Buffalo was not ranked in the 2020 list.

Moving to new things for the 2022 season, Jeremy Hoeltke and WNYDGC announced a collaboration with the New York State Parks to purchase new Prodigy T2 baskets for Arrowhead DGC at Wilson-Tuscarora State Park. Also, part of the deal is that Wilson will be getting alternative pins to help freshen up the course.

Spartan Disc is also announcing ahead of the 2022 new year that they will be opening a second location in the Northtowns. According to the Spartan Disc social media post, the new space will be larger with space for indoor practice and a disc golf game cave-type space. Spartan also will be introducing new members to the Team Spartan.

Speaking of new team members, Squalla Disc Golf will be trying its hand at sponsoring players in 2022. Squalla introduced Matthew Hess and Brandon Kofod as their first players to be supported by the brand on their social media.

In Club News, WNYDGC 2022 club membership is live on their site. Club memberships are $25, and members will receive a 2022 Mini, Towel, and $5 Discount on PDGA tournaments.

Lastly in DiscGolf716 news keep a look out to our social media as we have some big news on how you can help grow the site in 2022 as we start off the year.

Also the DiscGolf716 Shirts are still available so hit me up if you will like one
