Welcome to the weekly update, where we look back at what was and highlight key moments and news around the disc golf community.
Starting this week off is the big news of the WNYDGC schedule being released for the 2022 season. 2022 is shaping up to a wild year with the introduction of several new events mixed in with returning tournaments.
Also announced this week is the creation of a youth disc golf course in Olean, NY. Twin Tiers Disc Golf Club broke the news on black Friday via social media. The new course will feature nine family-friendly holes all-around 100 -180 feet long. Twin Tiers will be fundraising for the new park starting Tuesday. Check out
This week was also a busy week out on the course as winter putting leagues and tournaments continue. Week 4 of the NRDG Wednesday Night Putting League @ Phatman Boardshop. With over 20 people coming in from the cold to battle it out.
Also happening is the WNY Women's Virtual Putting League sponsored by Spartan Discs.

Moving outside into the cold, the annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Doubles event at Joesph Davis State Park went off with 43 players braving the cold and rain. As for the play, three teams finished with -16 down, and 11 teams finished with -10 or better.
Saturday morning saw round four of the 5 B-LO. Thirty-seven players battled it out on the frozen fields of Pinewood Park. Rob Alessi took 1st in the A pool shooting a 43 (-11) B Pool had a 3-way tie at 48 (-6) after 18 holes. William Quinn, Jessica Lyn, and Michael Burst. With William Quinn coming out in 1st after six extra holes.
Saturday also saw the completion of the White and Gold Teepads at Black Diamond @ Emery Park. The teepad project has been going on for most of 2021 and is vital for improving the course.
